Sophie Dress and Tunic by Simple Life Pattern Company
/Hey there! I’m Nacole from Owl Feet Boutique and today I'm reviewing the Sophie Dress and Tunic by Simple Life Pattern Company. This pattern is loaded with options that makes it look like 2 totally different designs. You can choose from The scoop neck, V neck, ruffle, no ruffle, tunic or dress length, flutter, sleeves, and a faux sash. Oh My! I tell ya, you have so many options with this pattern. The pattern includes sizes 2t to 12.
I chose the scoop back with the ruffle and a wide ruffle on the bottom of the dress. My favorite aspect of this dress is the back. I LOVE the open back. Like so many of SLPC patterns the back is open and is constructed perfectly. The summers here in South East GA are perfect for open back dresses as the temps are on average 98 on a normal day.
The pattern has step by step instructions and pictures. The trickiest part was placket and they provided a video if you need extra help. I personally omitted it and just kept the 2 buttons which worked perfectly and had no issue getting on or off.
I was pleasantly surprised how fast this dress went from print to finish. It took about 2 hrs and that included a run to the store to get milk for my little lady :) The results are beautiful. Every pattern I've made from Simple life pattern company I love.
