Genevieve bag by ChrisW Designs
/Hello there, here I am again. Today, I’m leading you through the Genevieve bag pattern by ChrisW design. This intermediate pattern has tons of design options to satisfy everyone.
In true ChrisW fashion, it is 86 very in-depth pages long. Don’t be intimidated by the number of pages. After the pattern pieces, there are “print only” directions if you would like to print without any pictures.
The Genevieve is what I would call a medium size bag-large enough for more than just the essentials, but not quite big enough for the kitchen sink! ;)
So many options are included. You can make your flap regular or asymmetrical. Your bag can be pieced, piped, or plain. There are pockets galore, including a phone size slip pocket hidden under the front slip pocket.
One of the details I was very impressed by is the zippered pocket...The method used insures that no zipper tape is seen on the inside, very professional looking! A little quilted peltex makes the bottom of the bag nice and sturdy. There is also a lot of double topstitching, which lends a very nice look to the finished bag. Don’t forget the topstitched gusset, I would never have thought to do that on my own and I love how it looks!
