The Pick a Pocket Wallet by ChrisW Designs

I've been needing a new wallet, so I was excited when the chance to review the Pick A Pocket Wallet by ChrisW Designs came up.  It's pretty much everything I could think of needing in a wallet! :)

The hardest part about any sewing project can be fabric choices. I couldn't resist the urge to cut apart a t-shirt to make this wallet, especially since this will be my son's mascot when he heads to college in the fall. Don't be afraid to think outside the box.

I would rate this pattern as intermediate.  It's not difficult in the least, but can become cumbersome in places. I actually thought this was a pretty fun sew with a great sense of accomplishment!

The Pick a Pocket wallet has tons of options for pockets, including the choice to have 2 zippered pockets if you need them. (I chose to have the extra card slots.) I just got a new phone (Axon 7 mini) and was worried that it wouldn't fit in the phone pocket, but it's perfect!

The directions are very in depth, as you might expect from a ChrisW pattern.  Don't be worried if you've never made card pockets or any kind of wallet-the instructions take you through every step of the way, including tips right where you need them! Along with the "pictures included" directions, there is a portion you can print off of text only if you would prefer to go that route.

Have you been on the fence about making a wallet?  If so, go for it-this pattern will not disappoint!
