The Streamline Tee by New Horizons
/Hello fellow seamstresses! Sarah from Sewing with Sarah here, to share a new go-to T-shirt pattern for kids: the Streamline Tee by New Horizons Designs. My boys love to be active, and are always in need of athletic t-shirts that wick sweat but feel soft as they climb trees, kick soccer balls, and ride bikes every day.
The Streamline is perfect for their exploits, and comes with plenty of options to keep us covered year-round: long, short or ¾ length raglan sleeves, and a nice slim, athletic fit. I tested this pattern before it released, and knew that I wanted to size up to allow for a little growing room, so I whipped up a size 8 and 6 for my just-turned-seven-years-old twins. Born on the same day but as different in size and personality as they come (in a really good way!), they both agree that they love these shirts- and are begging for more! The fit is exactly as I want it: they love the soft yoga knit and I love that they have some great shirts that will last them until next season! Even better, the pattern is unisex, so you can make it for girls or boys- I’m sure my daughter will be getting one soon as well.
Until next time!
