BUT, she loved this dress... she even asked for a few more! Wahooo!! This dress is designed for most interlock and jersey fabrics. There are 4 different design options to mix and match the sleeve length and collar style and is available in sizes 2-10. I chose the short sleeve with a regular collar. I thought short sleeves would be great to get us through the warm Indiana fall and then will look perfect layered into the colder months. This has a nice loose sleeve, which makes it ideal for layering.
The pattern pieces also include a cutting guide so that you can also customize the size, for example a size 4 width but with a longer length. I love finding patterns like that since my daughter is tall and pretty slim. I thought the directions were clear and very easy to follow. Making this a super quick sew. I had everything cut and finished in just over an hour. Another reason we will have a few of these in different fabrics, I love easy!
This would be a great introductory pattern for someone starting with knits. There was a very helpful guide at the beginning that explained different types of knit and what amount of stretch (with a guide) you should look for when selecting fabrics. Thank you for letting us share! I hope you enjoy it as much as we are! I’ll leave you with this... Even though sometimes she’s 6 going on 16, just as often she’s still back to my sweet kid... Me: “yes dear, that is a really cool noise the bridge makes when you stomp across” hahaha!!
