The U-Turn Dress by Duchess & Hare
/ Katie HancockHi I'm Katy from my china doll and I sewed up the u turn dress by duchess and hare. I live in Australia so we are in the midst of winter so i was inspired to make a winter version. I used a gorgeous red velveteen for warmth and lined the flutters and bodice with my favourite art gallery emmi grace fabric for a pop of colour.
The fit of the dress is great and looks beautiful. I sized up the bodice so i could fit warm layers underneath. My daughter especially loved the inseam pockets.
The finishes on this dress are beautiful inside and out and I love how it has the option to be reversible. The wrap back is such a lovely design feature too. I used snaps for closures and covered them in matching velveteen so they blended perfectly. I will definitely be making of this pattern.
Happy sewing
