Create HOPE Sew A Long Day 1

Let's get started! Today, we're going to cut out the pieces to make our totes. Follow the chart on page 3 of the pattern to cut your pieces. I'm working on a trick-or-treat bag for my 3 year old, so I'll be making a small size bag. She loves ruffles, so I'm going to add a little ruffle between the main pieces of the exterior - I cut two pieces measuring 2 1/2" x 24" for the ruffles. If you want to add a ruffle to the large tote, I'd recommend two 3" x 32" pieces for a 1" tall ruffle, or 4" x 32" for a 1 1/2" tall ruffle; the directions will be the same no matter what size you choose.
