Tie Back Tank by GreenStyle Creations
/Hey again!! Rebekah from Rebekah Sews again! I am on a roll making things for myself. Let me tell you how good it feels too! Today we have the Tie Back Tank from GreenStyle Creations.
This tank has a wide variety of sizes from XXS-3XL. The uniqueness of this tank is just awesome. It features an open back which can either be fully open when you don’t tie it, or give a little “peek-a-boo” when you do. Now this tank is made with knit fabric, but depending on what kind you can really dress it up or dress it down. Wear it on date night or wear it to get your workout on. There is even an option to make it a full back or racerback look as well as an option for binding or bands! The tutorial is easy and helpful and definitely beginner friendly. It’s pretty quick to make too (a plus in any book) and took about 1hr which was my first time making it.
For my tank I debated on what fabric to choose. Honestly it came down to what color thread was in my coverstitch!! Yes, I was being a little lazy and didn’t want to change my thread out. I choose a pretty floral and matching stripe from Purple Steamstress Fabric! When I measured myself I was different places on the size chart. L for bust, and 2XL for hips (I can thank 4kids for that!). So I sewed up the XL and for me the fit was exactly how I like it! I just love the way it turned out. So nice and flowy when it's not tied and comfy and cool when it is tied.
If you want a quick tank sure to be a great addition to any wardrobe that’s a little more than your average tank, you really don’t need to look any further. Time to go pick out more fabric for my next one!!
