Audrey Retro Style Dress by Foofoo Threads
/Hello! It’s Heather from All Things Katy! Today, I’m sharing my “Easter edition” of the FooFoo Threads Audrey Retro Style Girl Dress (plus, Dolly!). This simple, sweet dress features a fully lined bodice, front bodice buttons and an adorable collar. The Audrey Retro Style Dress includes three sleeve lengths- sleeveless, short and elbow-length and two skirt options- circle and fabric-saving rectangle skirt.
For a point of reference, I sewed up a straight size eight, short sleeve with elastic casing, waistband and sash, bias tape finished circle skirt Audrey Retro Style Dress. A mixture of photographs and line drawings accompany each step in the tutorial. Lots of tips and tricks are interspersed throughout the tutorial and they aid the sewer in producing a really great-looking dress!
This was my first FooFoo Threads sew and I have to admit, I LOVED it! I was immediately drawn to the classic styling of the Audrey Retro Style Dress and I loved all the options to mix and match fabrics. I love the clean finish of the fully lined bodice. The bias tape finish for the circle skirt hem creates a fun accent. The fit was spot-on- fitted on top without being too tight to get on and off. Of course, my daughter’s favorite feature of the Audrey Retro Style Girl’s Dress is the TWIRL factor, thanks to the circle skirt option. Plus, she LOVES matching her favorite doll! All in all, Girly has a dress that she LOVES to wear and I’m already finished my Easter sewing…. That’s an all-around win in my book! ;-)
Today Kari reviews the Eloise Dress by Foo Foo Threads while Laura sews up another version as well. This dress or shirt is super adorable and fun to wear.
