Hi there Ladies and Gents! It is Nycki of Nyck Nack Couture and I am completing my very first post for Pattern Revolution, exciting stuff! I am reviewing the Stand up & Tote Notice bag by Two Pretty Poppets. While I am the new kid on the block with Pattern Revolution, I am certainly not a new seamstress and I have created many pretty bags to date.

Stand up & Tote Notice is a stylish and trendy tote bag that comes in 3 different sizes, small, medium and large. As a volleyball mom, I chose the large size, more than roomy enough to lug around an extra set of clothes, a towel, volleyball shoes and ball. The interior has 4 interior pockets with a magnetic snap closure. The exterior of the bag has a patchwork style construction, allowing you to show off a tiny piece of a treasured fabric with 2 large outer pockets.

As a result of the patchwork style of this bag, there are quite a few pages to print and assemble, but you can probably get away with half of the pages if you elect to use a solid outer fabric, using the lining pattern piece for both lining and outer bag. I used an eclectic blend of fabrics from my massive stash including denim, upholstery fabric and duck cloth.

The Stand Up & Tote Notice is a great bag for a beginner and the finished product looks like it is was a lot more involved that it actually was! The most difficult part (which was not hard at all) was putting in the magnetic snap closure. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow, seamlessly walking you through each step.

As stated before, I have sewn many bags in my day and this was one of my favorites. I will certainly make it again and I would love to see your Stand Up & Tote Notice creations on our Facebook page!
