Coraline Clutch by Swoon Patterns
/What outfit is complete without a great bag? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for massively huge diaper bags in my life, and am dreaming of the day that I can carry some fun purses on a daily basis. For now I'll settle for a cute Coraline Clutch for date night.
The Coraline Clutch is a newer release from our friends and affiliate sponsors Swoon. It has multiple size options, a zipper closure to keep all your goodies tucked away tight, and an optional wristlet strap.

I had the pleasure of sewing up the new Swoon clutch pattern this month, the Coraline!
The pattern is so well written and the Swoon facebook group so super helpful that even a someone like me, who is a total boob at sewing anything not clothing, easily make this!
I made the large clutch size and I paired it with my date night LBD Sisboom Jenny dress
This clutch is the perfect size for date night, it easily can fit a small make-up touch up bag, a wallet, the keys and a few other things as well! Who knows what you all need on a date night, am I right?
I love how tidy the inside is and with the zipper being inside you can add a pop of colour in your zipper but not have it show from the outside!
The wallet shown is another Swoon pattern, the Eloise, and it was made by my friend Jenny at Sincerely Jen. I am no where near brave enough for sewing a wallet yet, but I do plan to make a wristlet soon!
The Coraline clutch pattern also includes a small clutch size and a wristlet.
In fact I loved this clutch so much I made myself a second one straight aways! I'm wearing another Sisboom Jenny with this clutch too :) Perfect date night clutch with a perfect date night dress!

Hey all! Carrie here, from Beri Bee Designs to share with you this fabulous little wristlet clutch from Swoon. I rarely venture from sewing clothes, and mostly little girl ones at that, so this was a great opportunity to sew up something all for me (although good chance my bag/purse loving 6 year old will end up sneaking it away from me).
This pattern has multiple options, making it extremely versatile. It can be a clutch in 2 different sizes with fixed handles OR you can add the D-ring to the side to make it a wristlet in either size. I chose the smaller size in a wristlet.
The directions are very well written and easy to follow. This is a very easy zippered pattern so if you’re not very comfortable using zippers or if you want to try one for the first time, this pattern is an ideal choice.
This smaller version of the wristlet took just over an hour, start to finish so it’s an ideal project for those few minutes you might get during nap time, or after the kids head to bed when you get to squeeze in a little self-care sewing.
And as you can see it’s a great size! Fits everything I need with room to spare. I did add the little interior pocket myself; that wasn’t part of the pattern.
One of my favorite things about this clutch is how easy it will be to dress it up and make something for a special night out or keep it fun and more casual. OR, in my case, I’m looking forward to making a diaper clutch for my little man arriving this summer! It also takes very little fabric so what better way to use up some smaller scraps, I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for ways to use up that ever accumulating pile!
I will definitely be making more of these, not only for myself, but I’ve also made a long list of birthdays and teacher gifts that this will be absolutely perfect for!
