Aspiring Designer: Swoodson Says

Hi! I'm Stephanie, I blog over at Swoodson Says and am thrilled to be on Pattern Revolution to share my new pattern with you. Robin & her gang are pretty awesome.
I have an almost-two year old son and I have fun sewing things for him; my first PDF pattern is a superhero cape for a doll or stuffed animal (and it's free)! I think there is something so special about a handmade toy, which is what led me to design and sell my own patterns.
Introducing the Little Artist Palette softie & puzzle toy! It is a downloadable PDF sewing pattern, with digital pattern pieces and real photograph instructions.
Little Artist Palette
The finished palette measures about 13" and could be used in many ways:
  • a softie for a baby or infant
  • a simple matching puzzle for a toddler
  • a prop for dress-up & imaginative play for an older child
  • a throw pillow for decor
  • a gag gift for all aspiring artists, of any age.

Sewn all in fleece, this is a great way to use up scraps!
The puzzle element is easy to add with a few extra scraps and Velcro; my son also liked pretending to "paint" with it.
I had a few awesome testers - the black palette makes those colors pop!
Amy told me this was her first time sewing something like this, and I think it turned out great!
You can buy the pattern in my shop - on Craftsy - or on Etsy. It's on sale for the first week at $5, no coupon required, and will bump up to $7 on Saturday the 22nd. So grab it and get sewing so you can surprise a little (or big) artist this holiday season!
Want to try your hand at winning a copy? (Don't worry, if you buy it now and then end up winning, I will refund your $ no problem!)
I spend way too much time on the Internet - if you want to connect you can hear more on: my newsletter, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and Bloglovin’.
