We are so excited to share some amazing fabric and project pairings this week with Shannon Fabrics. Today we have the Embrace double gauze made as beach cover ups from patterns by Violette Field Threads. Talk about a match made in a beach heaven! Cassie is sharing her fabulous makes today.

Hi all! Cassie here to share with you my latest creations using some gorgeous Embrace double gauze from Shannon Fabrics!

I’ve been in full summer sewing mode so I knew right away I’d want to make new beach coverups for my girls! The fabric has the perfect drape and lightness needed for a cute and easy coverup!

For my oldest’s, I used the Samantha pattern from Violette Field Threads. I used the tunic length and kept the look simple and clean without any modifications or additions!

For my youngest’s, I used the Giselle Kimono, also from VFT. I did quite a few modifications to create this really cute and trendy look. First, I added some length so that it was more like a maxi style. Next, I added a drawstring waist casing and drawstring so that it could have a front closure.

I love how soft and flowy the fabrics were for this project! A match made in sewing heaven! The girls had a blast on our Catalina Island vacation and the coverups were the perfect accessory.
