Fun with Funktional Threads

Hey all, I am so excited to be able to share my latest Funktional Threads sew.  I started sewing FT patterns about 2 years ago when I was lucky enough to be chosen as a tester.  Lisa is an awesome designer who is a great resource of knowledge and great design.  Here are some of the fun things I have made with FT patterns:

For this tour, I decided to go back to the Rachel Knit Dress.  This is a super versatile pattern, and I love versatility.  I'm sewing clothes for Mack to wear to school - EEEEEEEEP, I know, my baby is going to pre-school 2 days a week this year!!!!  So, I decided to make the Rachel a top.  To achieve this look, I simply used only the top (shortest) flounce - this gives the perfect length for a tunic top!

Now I can't send my girly to school with just a plain old tunic, so I spiced this one up with my own Panda Free Motion Applique design.  Isn't he so cute!!!!   FMA is an easy way to add some interest to any of your back to school sewing.

As you can see the fit on this pattern is great... Lisa actually has two sizing variations within the pattern - a Regular fit which is a looser style, and a slim fit which as the name suggests - fit closer to the body.  I went with a size 6 slim fit to get the length I wanted but to keep a narrow silhouette.

Join a full week of bloggers sharing their Funktional Threads Creations! Each day, there will be a different blogger featured and they will be sharing their take on one of the great patterns.
