Terra's Treasures Long Beach Board Shorts Sew Along Day 2

It's Day 2 of our Sew Along, and we actually get to start sewing today. If you have any questions along the way, feel free to comment here on the blog, or join the Pattern Revolution Facebook Group and ask questions, share your fabric choices and your progress along the way!

Today we will be completing the instructions through page 5 of the pattern.  First, we will sew the back pieces and the back insert pieces along the short inside edges. I always reinforce my seams when it comes to sewing bottoms for my kids, so these are sewed and serged.

Then take your back panel piece and pin your piping around the outside. Piping is cut on the bias, so going around those corners is not nearly as hard as it looks. 

Then grab your zipper or piping foot and baste the piping on, stitching right over the stitching line on your piping.
