Alyse Slim Pants by Designer Stitch

Hi everyone, it’s Brooke from idlesunshine and I am reviewing the Alyse Pants - Slim by Designer Stitch (DS #0316). We are heading into Winter here in Australia so pants that fit are just what my wardrobe needs!
The Alyse Pants are available as 3 separate patterns - Slim, Tapered and Wide leg. I love the combination of skinny pants and loose tops, so I chose to try out the Slim pattern. They can be made in full length, 7/8ths length or 5/8ths length.
They must be made with a stretch woven containing 4% spandex and so I used this crazy floral sateen that I originally purchased with a dress in mind. I was going to make boring black, but then who wants to be boring!?
The design features curved front pockets and a shaped waistband with a side seam zipper. Pockets are a must for me, and these are perfect to slip your phone or keys into!
I added an extra couple of inches to the length when I cut, which is something I always do for my long legs and height. I was in shock when I ran these up and they needed ZERO adjustments! That has never happened before! I could have slimmed them a little through the leg for a more formal look, but I am wearing these to work in a casual workplace and they are just perfect as they are. Perhaps when I make a solid grey or black pair I might do that.
