Today, I’m here to talk about Saige’s Boatneck Dress by Simple Life Pattern Co. This knit pattern includes 2 dress styles: The Simple Dress with an elastic waistband and the Drawstring Dress where cording is used in place of the elastic. There is also an option to add a bib and three sleeve length options are included. Here is my long sleeve version.

This dress is both cute and comfy and best of all it’s quick to sew. I love the practical style and the look of this dress on my daughter. The bodice is lined and eliminates the need for adding bias neck trim. It’s a beginner level pattern and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Color pictures of the steps are provided. It has the layering option so you can print your selected size.

Tester photos of the different versions are provided for inspiration. You can use one fabric or mix fabrics for a different look. Sizes for 2T-12 are included and I can picture this dress on children of all different ages and body types. My daughter could not wait to wear this to school. I bet your girl will like this too.
