The Color Block Dress by So Sew Easy from DIY Crush
/Looking for a sexy date night dress pattern? Or something comfy for everyday wear? The Color Block Dress from So Sew Easy can be BOTH, depending on your fabric choices. Today Paige is sharing her sequinned tween version of this pattern, which can be purchased HERE from DIY Crush, the new sewing and craft digital pattern marketplace.
This is the Color Block Dress by So Sew Easy. It’s made with stretch knits and is designed to be figure hugging. You can also modify it for a looser fit. It has curving front and back pieces with contrasting sides. When my picked out fabrics for this dress, I wasn't surprised that she chose sequins. She loves sparkles and shine. As you can see, she’s happy with her new dress.
Depending on fabric choices, you can keep it plain and simple or jazz it up. Be sure to follow the designer’s suggestions about matching up different knits.
I would say this is an intermediate level pattern because you may need to modify the fit based on your own measurements. Once you have your pieces cut out, it’s not difficult to sew and it doesn’t take long. I took in the chest and hip areas and I widened the waist a little. I also shortened the length.
