Hi Everyone! I'm back today to review the Molly skirt. In my world, there's no such thing as too many skirts so I'm glad I had the opportunity to sew this adorable skirt with the pleated front and elastic back. There is also an attached sash which can be tied in either the front or the back.
I really like the construction of this pattern and how the pleats go back into place. No worries if you have never made pleats before because the designer makes it easy. There are also different options for making this skirt. I made the one with the contrast band but you could make it without the band or with a hem trim. Here's what else is included with this pattern:
*Information about the designer
*Contact Information
*Table of contents
*Supply List
*Recommended fabrics
*Metric and imperial measurements
*Sizing chart
*Pattern pieces included for all styles (Sizes 2-10)
*Pattern layout and fabric requirements for each version
*Clearly written and easy to follow instructions and color photos
I do plan to make more of these skirts. My next one is going to be with denim. Won't that be cute for a completely different look? Be sure to look at the sizing chart. I made the size 7 for my daughter who usually wears a size 8.
Happy Sewing!
