Get Your Sewing On with Stitch Box Monthly
/Since you are all here on the interwebs with me, reading this blog, you are probably familiar with the phenomenon of monthly subscription boxes that are available for anything from children's crafts to makeup. Well, get ready for a cool new innovation in our sewing lives - a monthly box of sewing goodies delivered directly to your door!!!!!!
With Stitch Box Monthly you can buy a single box or a monthly subscription... these are a great gift to give to others, or to give to yourself! One lucky Pattern Revolution fan will win a Stitch Box, so be sure to enter our giveaway at the end of this post.
For me, as a mom with three toddlers three and under, making trips to the fabric store for browsing or fun extras is a no go! If I dare enter that land mine with all three in tow, I am going in for one necessary, can't live without item... in and out in under 20 minutes or there is going to be destruction, screaming, and possibly blood. So, to have a box arrive at your doorstep with super fun sewing items is so much fun!
Stitch Box Monthly sent me this box for review, and I was so excited to open it up and discover the secret goodies inside.
- 2 Yards of Riley Blake Red Riding Hood border print
-a Spool of Red Gutermann thread
- Mary Ellen Best Press spray
- Clover Hot Press Hemmer
-Bow Peep Dress Pattern from One Thimble (read our review of this pattern HERE)
*I also loved that they used a generous amount of thick satin ribbon to tie up all the pretties -that is going to be put to good use!
My Favorite items in the box are 100% the Hot Press Hemmer and the Press Spray, these are items that I have been wanting and just never made it to my shopping list. The hot hemmer is perfect for creating even hems every time. And I am in love with the spray. It allows you to wash your cottons and then regain that original crisp appearance- and it smells AWESOME!
And then let's talk about this fabric - Little Red Riding Hood just happens to be the theme of baby girl's nursery. So I want her to have a special item every year. Last year for her 1st birthday, I made her the Funktional Threads Grace Dress. This year for her second birthday, I used this adorable border print to make the Sydney Pinafore by Mouse House Creations. Hello ADORABLE!
So, if you are looking for some fun sewing supplies, and some new notions to get your creative juices flowing, head on over to Stitch Box Monthly and try out a box for yourself, or send one to a sewing friend that you love!
