Everyday Sewing with Windham Fabrics
/I have had the wonderful gift and pleasure of being able to work with Windham Fabric recently. This Fabric Company's tagline goes like this: To create fabrics which inspire passion and creativity for quilters and sewers with various tastes and differing skill levels throughout the world. They expounded by telling me: Basically, meaning…we do modern, but we also still do traditional and reproduction. We are dedicated to the artist in each designer, allowing them to keep their style when they create a Windham Fabric!
Oh how I love this dedication to the art of fabric design and their desire to reach all sewers of all skill levels around the world - They matched up perfectly with our desire here at Pattern Revolution to see EVERY sewer grow in confidence and education and for a new generation to discover the seamstress hiding within. Pairing a perfect fabric with an amazing pattern can make a first attempt at sewing go from 'ummmm, welllll.....' to 'OH WOW!'

During one of our conversations where we were discussing future project collaborations, I happened to mention how much a loved the new line of fabrics called Wallflowers by Allison Harris. I was first struck my the softness of this quilting cotton - it has a great hand, and the colors are so vibrant. I love the color combinations in the Wallflowers line, from soft blues and pinks to the bold Reds and Navys with accents of green and grey - there is something to fit everyone in this line. My fabric combination is perfect for fall, but by paring up different fabrics in the line you can create looks for winter, spring, and summer just as easily.
