The Finley and Daisy by Violette Field Threads

Hi there! It’s Kari from That's-Sew-Kari sharing two patterns from  Violette Field Threads’ Wanderer Collection - Finley and Daisy.  These two patterns are quick sews and come in Girls, Tween and Doll.  Finley is a strappy woven tank, perfect for showing off your favorite fabric.  It has options for both top and dress and can have fixed or tied straps. Daisy is a quick and simple short pattern offering a sporty side scoop and optional pockets.  A hem facing makes hemming the bottom curves a breeze.

I have had this fabric in my stash for a while.  I won a half yd bundle a few years back from somewhere and never quite knew where to use it.  I was drawn to the bright lime green for the shorts because they are such a fun summer color. I was able to get a size 5 short and a 5 top (7 length) out of a half yd of fabric each.  YAY!!

The hem facing makes it so you don’t have to fully line the shorts (which adds heat).  And of course, pockets are always a must!

I chose the fixed straps but love the tie strap option too!  I found the strap placement to be spot on but be sure not to rush through it!

My daughter loves this and so does her little sister (who was lobbying HARD to give to her).  My oldest didn’t want to take it off after pics which is a sure sign that she likes it!
