Sun and Surf Tote and Jewelry Roll and Hailey Cover up by ModKid Patterns:
/We’re going on a cruise this fall! I needed to replace my poolside bag and chose ModKid’s Sun & Surf Tote. Its cute, roomy and, as always when you make your own, I give it my personal touch.
I’m wearing a Hailey Misses made in a crochet lace. I needed to make a new poolside cover up as well.
I chose a laminated fabric for the pockets as this part of the tote will rest on the deck where the occasional puddle of water finds it way next to my chair when I return from a dip in the pool. I found this fun flamingo duck cloth at Hobby Lobby, as well as the laminated stripes, black & white polka dot lining, large button for closure, and the grommets.
I also found this Jewelry Roll pattern by ModKid -- it will hold and organize things I have to have with me, as well as my room key and pens for crossword puzzles. The lining fabric I chose for the lining is also great as apparel fabric -- see Kari’s use of the calico flamingos here.)
I think I’m all set to hit the pool on the cruise ship!
