/Today we are featuring several sleeved patterns from the Simple Life Pattern Company that can be used to help extend the wardrobe from fall to winter. These core pieces can be paired with a cardigan, long sleeved tee etc to change up the look and coordinate with the whims of Mother Nature.

Can you believe it’s fall already?!? My family and I just moved to Colorado Springs a couple months ago so I don’t really have a good feel for what the fall season is like here. So far, the mornings can be pretty chilly and the afternoons can be on the warm side. My understanding is that it will fluctuate a ton here! Because of that, I wanted to to make my daughter’s fall wardrobe flexible. I choose Tessa’s Dolman from Simple Life Pattern Company.
Because Tessa’s is a dolman style shirt, there is plenty of room in the arms to put a long sleeve shirt under it for those cooler days or just wear it as it on the warmer days. I chose to make mine out of the Art Gallery rayon to give it a nice drape and because it is a nice fabric to use to transition from summer to fall. This top also works really well with all those back to school sweaters that we all all buy every year! Happy fall sewing!!

Its everyone's favorite season! We mostly everyone! I know I for one LOVE fall! All the leaves turning beautiful colors, the air becoming nice and cool, warm drinks that make us want to stay all cozy inside with loved ones. Yes I love the fall, but my most favorite thing about fall is the rich colors and the wardrobe change!
Here where I live Sleeves are not to common ( Southeast Ga) so when its time to layer up we have fun!
Today I got to sew up Simple Life Pattern Company's Patricia top and dress. I got to say I love it. Its super kid friendly as no buttons no ties no zippers! Thats right it just slips over the head! Who doesn't love do it yourself clothing for your children! This top & dress has lots of options a regular hi lo option and a dramatic option sleeves or sleeveless 3 different style sleeves and ruffles or non ruffles. I tell ya so many options to make anyones little girl happy. My little girl wanted the dramatic version with ruffles and I love the way it turned out!
This was our first top of the season so I had to include the beautiful deep purple with a golden embroidery accent to show off beautiful fall colors. This dress made my little one so happy with how easy it was for her to get dressed and the twirl factor! I hope this top will be a staple in your fall wardrobe for your little ones as I know it will be in mine :)

The Sophie pattern is great because it comes in a top or dress length, scoop or V back and has a sleeveless, short and long sleeve option making it work for fall no matter what your weather brings. I chose the short sleeve dress option for fall and it works perfect for our warmer fall days.
