The Four Seasons Dress and Top by Foo Foo Threads Three Ways

Is it fall yet? Well here in Texas it’s still a lovely 99° and thoughts of fall are so far away. In the fall I am beyond busy and there is just not as much time sew and, of course, I want my babes wearing the latest greatest ‘momma made’! What better time to start sewing than the dog days of summer? These outfits took just a couple hours each to complete!

I took Foo Foo Threads’ 4 Seasons Dress and made it into the main three fall holiday outfits needed: Halloween inspired, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. Hobby Lobby and Joanns already have all these fabrics in stock and have for at least the past month, maybe they know my process to sew holiday outfits in summer?

First is my Ghastlie’s Halloween Dress, made to be over the top with a fuller skirt and lace on the sleeves. For the full skirt I did WOF (width of fabric) for both front and back skirt pieces, it makes for a super twirly skirt. The ‘top hat’ on a headband was simple to create, here’s a tutorial if you wanted to make one too: http://www.momdot.com/how-to-make-mini-hat-tutorial/

Second holiday we love to celebrate is Thanksgiving. Family, food, fun, food, football, food...need I say more? For the top version of the 4 Seasons pattern I did a WOF for the entire skirt piece, makes for a slim, trim top.

Finally Christmas! Not exactly fall but close enough, right? Everyone is always looking for THE perfect holiday outfit and I think this just might be it. This one was made with stretch sweater material on top for the random cold December day here in Texas.
