Scrap Swap: Day of the Dead
/Nicole here again, and I love Halloween!!! When I saw this knit from Rebekah I knew it was perfect for 2 fun looks. I had just enough to squeeze an top for each of my girls. Clara Mae is obsessed with the movie Book of Life, so when I saw this print at Joann I knew it would be perfect. For her Dress I went with the LLK Blue Ribbon Dress. I wanted to add a bright color sash to break up the black more.

I also had this print in my stash from last year when I was lazy… and didn’t make what I set out to. I really love the torn look of the black knit with the Halloween inspired fabric I used for the skirt portion. I used Made for Mermaids Samantha skirt with the Perfect 10 by LLK. I mashed up these two patterns to create a dress over separate pieces.
I hope when you look at your scraps just sitting in a pile, you will think outside the box and will use it to create your own one of a kind pieces. Another great use of scraps is quilts and panties :)
Thanks,
Nicole
