Inspiration from around Blog-land

Hello Hello!!!  Today I want to encourage you to take a look at some of our friends around blog land and the awesome self care sewing that they have been up to and are encouraging.

First - Take a look at Shades of Me.  This Blog Series is the brain child of Mouse House Creations and Petit a Petit & Family and encourages women to take one color of the rainbow and sew up an outfit inspired by that color.  Talk about FUN!  PLEASE, please read Hayley's opening post of the series - it just may convince you that the world can be inspired by the WHOLE you!  The series has an awesome giveaway with three prizes - and they rock... go enter and share any color inspired looks in their link up party.

Next - Head on over to Project Sewn.  Season Three just launched today with week one: Fashion Icons.  Project Sewn is a competition style sewing blog with an inspired look each week (Think Project Runway brought to the blogging community).  There is a weekly sew along winner too.  The creators are Elizabeth and liZ, the ladies behind Simple Simon & Co. and Project Run and Play.  These women seek on a regular basis to encourage and inspire sewists to dream bigger, reach higher, and create more than they ever dreamed possible.  Follow along and if you are inspired by a theme, sew along!

We will be sharing at least one self care sewing project each weekday this month here as a part of Sew Yourself Some Love.  Stay tuned for our own big prize announcement later this week! *and just a hint - you're going to want to take some pictures of any of those projects you've been working on for you!
