Designer's Challenge - Lily Bird Studio
/Last week I posted about the Designer's Challenge going on at Pattern Revolution. Today is finally my turn to release the new design! The Sweet Allie dress!
About 4 years ago I saw (for the first time) the very sweet, romantic movie The Notebook. I loved every part of the movie, and cried almost from beginning to end. If you never saw this movie, then you have to! But be warned, you will cry!
One of the things I loved the most from this movie were Allie Hamilton's (Rachel McAdams) outfits. So feminine, simple and gorgeous outfits. I specially loved Allie's blue dress, it was the inspiration for my new design and hence its name.
Sweet Allie is a button-up paneled dress with a fitted bodice and wide skirt. The waist adjusts with a thin belt. Back yoke, short cuffed sleeves and collar band. This dress is not lined.
