Read MoreQuilt Market is upon us this month. And all fabric lovers are sitting back in suspense waiting on the new lines to premier! Are you following all the sneak peeks all over social media? One new line I had the opportunity to sew with is Stitcher’s Garden by Amy Barickman for RJR Fabrics. This line features florals and ginghams. The prints in the blue/purple colorway and its sister collection in oranges/greens make it the perfect line for coordinating sister dresses. What a great way to show off the stunning colors within the prints.
The Bella dress pattern by The Simple Life Pattern Company was the perfect way to create dresses for my girls to coordinate while still showcasing each personality. This sundress with it’s curved bodice and strappy “V” back and varying lengths is a staple for summer.
My oldest loves to wear maxi dresses and she loves all the blues. She believes she comes from the sea and this was a winner in her eyes! The trims can change the look of the dress too.
On the other hand my youngest requires a serious TWIRL factor. And the knee length version is perfect for twirlability! The oranges and greens were a perfect match for her big green eyes!
The Bella pattern has many options besides the length choices one can leave the dress as a simple skirt or add the ruffle. The ruffle option allowed me to highlight all the prints within Stitcher’s Garden line. The small florals complement the bolder prints too. I loved how each dress became one of kind and met each girl’s personality! Love that fabrics can bring out that sisterly love!
Be sure to follow RJR fabrics on social media to see all the new releases as Quilt Market approaches!

It wasn't until recently that I heard of Fabric Fix and it really is the perfect way to get your fabric “fix”. Fabric Fix is a monthly subscription that will send you designer fabric, notions, and other goodies.
Read MoreIn general I don't consider myself a fabric hoarder - I sew my fabric and I really try not to buy without a project in mind. However, I can't ever say no to new fabric lines when they fall in my lap - no matter how tight the deadline or if I have no clue what I am going to sew with it, I always say YES! When Merav asked me if I might want to participate in sewing up Ana Davis' new line, Born Wild, for Blend Fabrics; not only did I say YES, but I knew exactly what I wanted to make. And what I wanted to make was a new design that was just hours old on my sketch pad.
